The Plantation Drive was initiated by Aahwahan Foundation to increase green cover and improve the biodiversity of the environment. The organization believes that a healthy environment is essential for the well-being of society and that planting more trees can have a positive impact on the environment.
Students Mr. Bharath Kumar L A, Mr. Monish V S & Ms. Sindu Y M participated in “National integration and Sadbhavana youth camp” in Jaipur, Rajasthan organised by National Youth Project from 26th October to 1st November 2022.
NSS Students from NCMS represented Bengaluru North University in 7 Days National Heritage Fest at Agarthla, Tripura from 20th to 27th November 2022. Participating in such events is an excellent opportunity for students to learn about different cultures, interact with students from other institutions, and develop leadership and teamwork skills.
NSS students were selected as volunteers to take part in the “National Youth Festival – 2023” held in Dharwad, Hubli from 12th to 16th January 2023.
The Karnataka Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, Bengaluru, National Service Scheme State Cell, Bengaluru North University, Youth Empowerment & Sports Department, and in association with NCMS, organized a 5-day state-level National Seva Yojana Shramadana Shibira from 3rd to 7th March, 2023, in the NCMS campus. The event was graced by the presence of Shri. Nadoja Pindipapanahalli Munivenkatappa, a Padma Shri awardee and folk artist, and Shri. Prathap Lingaiah, the State NSS Officer from the National Service Scheme Cell, as the chief guests.
The NSS program at NCMS is providing a platform for students to participate in community work and develop a sense of involvement in the tasks of nation-building. The program’s focus on helping the needy to enhance their standard of living is commendable, and the organization of a variety of activities every year to channelize the energy and idealism of the younger generation into creative pursuits is an excellent initiative.
The focus on educating students and society regarding issues such as health, sanitation, and palliation is crucial for creating awareness and motivating people to work towards a better environment. The regular health camps and cleanliness drives organized by the NSS unit at NCMS are excellent ways to create awareness and motivate people towards a cleaner environment.
Overall, the NSS program at NCMS is an excellent opportunity for young students to gain hands-on experience in delivering community service and instills the spirit of social service among them. The active involvement of students in community service activities is commendable and helps them to become responsible citizens and better human beings.
