It also highlighted India’s crucial role in space and space-based technologies, how these applications and services are creating global market opportunities and contributing to job creation and economic growth. The event aimed to educate students on the innovative space-powered applications and services available to them. The participants gained a basic understanding of India’s space sector, which has undergone significant transformation due to the de-regulation and opening up of the sector to the private industry.

On November 18, 2022, NCMS, in collaboration with ED Cell-NCMS, organized a field visit to DERBI foundation, located in Dayanand Sagar University Campus in Bengaluru. The visit aimed to provide students with an opportunity to identify problems in the healthcare sector, particularly in hospital automation and telemedicine fields. During the visit, students had the chance to discuss their problem statements with experts and learn about how technology can be leveraged to resolve these issues. The experts also shared insights on the design thinking methodology, which can be used to empathize with the problem, define the scope, ideate the concept, and build a prototype for the identified problem.
