On September 19, 2022, Bengaluru North University and Nagarjuna College of Management Studies organized “Togalugombeyata” to encourage artists and raise awareness about the endangered art form of “Thogalugombeyata,” which has a history of 4500 years. “Maruti Thogalugombe Nataka Mandali” artists from Chintamani performed a section of the Ramayana, “Sundara Kanda.” This performance taught students the significance of preserving traditional folk arts and their relevance in modern civilization. By learning about ancient folk styles, students can understand historical events and use them to define contemporary society.

On October 22, 2022, a Graduation Day ceremony was held to recognize and honour the students of the batch 2019-22 who have fulfilled the academic and extracurricular requirements for graduation. This event is held every year by the college to acknowledge the students’ accomplishments. The ceremony had Dr. A Murigeppa, the former Vice-Chancellor of Hampi University as the Chief Guest.

The National Cadet Corps is an organization with great potential for nation-building. In response to the interest of NCMS students, we initiated training for the first batch. On November 9, 2022, the NCC Unit was inaugurated by the principal in the presence of staff and other students

November 23rd and 24th, 2022I Shri. Vijaya Raghavendra, Actor, Kannada Industry

NCMS celebrated the day of Utsava, the day of glory for the state of Karnataka, on November 23rd and 24th, 2022. The celebration was graced by Shri. Vijaya Raghavendra, a Kannada film actor, as the chief guest. The event began with folk dances, flash mobs, and cultural competitions on the first day. The second day started with flag hoisting by dignitaries and the chief guest who gave an insightful talk on the rich heritage of Karnataka. The special attraction of the event was the Chande musical performance. The cultural programs included folk songs, recitations, Carnatic music, Bharatanatyam, and dance performances

 

December 15, 2022 I Mr. Darshan Narayan – Theatre Artist, Playback Singer & Standup Comedian.

On December 15, 2022, the second and final year students welcomed the Fresher’s with an enjoyable event called SWAGATH 2K22. During the event, the chief Guest Mr. Darshan Narayan sang songs for the students which were sung by him in the films and also the seniors entertained the juniors with dance, songs, and with skit performance.

 

Sankranti 2.0 was celebrated at NCMS on January 13, 2023, where the campus transformed into a miniature representation of India showcasing its diverse culture. The cultural committee organised various events such as a Heritage Walk, Rangoli Competition, and a creative exhibition on the festival theme.

The Inauguration Program for 1st Year PG Students was organized on February 22, 2023, with the esteemed presence of Prof. Anala Padmanabha as the Chief Guest and Shri. Ramesh B Umarani as the Guest of Honor.

 

On June 05, 2023, the Cultural Committee of Nagarjuna College of Management Studies organized several events to commemorate World Environment Day. These activities included a street play held at Nandi village and Karahalli village, aimed at raising awareness about environmental issues. Additionally, a ‘Go Green’ initiative took place at the NCMS campus, where students actively participated in planting saplings. Moreover, 1st-year BCA/B.Sc students conducted a poster presentation at the NCMS campus, showcasing their ideas and research on environmental conservation. These events aimed to promote environmental consciousness and sustainable practices among the college community and beyond.

 

 

Nagarjuna College of Management Studies celebrated its Graduation Day on 21st October, 2023, for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. The event was held at NGI auditorium and was graced by the eminent presence of Sri C. Narayanaswamy, Chairman of the State Finance Commission and Former Member of Parliament, Bengaluru North Lok Sabha Constituency.
